About Me
I have been working as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in both private practice and NHS settings for over twenty years.
I trained at the British Psychotherapy Foundation and the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust , both based in London and leading centres for psychoanalytic psychotherapy in the UK.

I am registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council the organisation which regulates the profession and promotes excellence in standards of practice in psychoanalytic clinical work. I am committed to the British Psychoanalytic Council’s Code of Ethics and its standards for Continuing Professional Development.
Prior to my five-year professional training at the British Psychotherapy Foundation, I completed a three-year training at the Tavistock Clinic and gained an MA in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the University of Essex . I have also trained and worked as a Relate Counsellor and gained a BA in English and European Literature from the University of East Anglia
For over twenty years, I was a director of a training company which specialised in helping the long term unemployed, lone parents, ex-offenders, ethnic minorities and people with mental and physical health problems return to work.
I have worked with people from all walks of life and learned that we are engaged in a process of development throughout our lives.
